Getting started
What is Feednetic?
A WordPress plugin that shows your Instagram and Facebook posts on your website. Both networks work in one plugin, so you don’t need a second plugin for the other one.
Do I need a Meta developer account?
No. You log in with your Instagram or Facebook account and choose what to connect. If you prefer, you can also use your own Meta app in the advanced settings.
How do I add a feed to a page?
Add the Feednetic block in the block editor and pick a feed, or copy the feed’s shortcode, for example [feednetic id=“12”], into any page, post or widget.
What does the plugin need to run?
A self-hosted WordPress site running PHP 7.4 or newer.
Accounts & connection
Does it work with personal Instagram accounts?
You need an Instagram Business or Creator account. Switching is free and takes a minute in the Instagram app. For Facebook, you need a Page you manage.
Can I connect more than one account?
Yes. Connect several Instagram accounts and Facebook Pages, and mix posts from both networks in one feed.
Can Feednetic post or comment for me?
No. Access is read-only. Feednetic only reads your profile details and posts so it can show them on your site.
Why would an account need reconnecting?
Meta can end access when you change your password, remove the app’s permissions or a login expires. Feednetic refreshes access automatically and warns you on the dashboard before a feed breaks.
Feeds & design
Which layouts are available?
Grid and carousel. You can set the number of columns separately for desktop, tablet and phone.
Will the feed match my theme?
Yes. Feeds use your theme’s fonts and colors by default, and you can adjust spacing, corners, the header and buttons with a live preview.
Can I hide a specific post?
Yes. You can remove any single post from your feeds, and Facebook profile or cover photo updates are skipped automatically.
What happens to posts without a photo?
Text-only posts and link shares are left out of visual layouts by default. You can include them in the feed settings.
How often do new posts appear?
Feednetic checks for new posts automatically every 30 minutes, 1, 3 or 6 hours. You choose the interval.
Performance & privacy
Will it slow down my website?
Images are stored on your own server as WebP and the feed renders with your page, so there are no third-party embeds to wait for. For sites with heavy caching, feeds can also load right after the page.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Disconnecting an account deletes its access token and posts from your site. When you delete the plugin with “Delete all Feednetic data” turned on, everything Feednetic stored is removed.
